How to Add Your Business Logo to Policy Drafts

Published by Policy Logic ·

Use your business logo to make a policy draft feel part of your organisation. Policy Logic keeps the business branding prominent and adds a small Powered by Policy Logic credit to the printed output.

1. Add a business profile

Open My account, create an account if needed and confirm your email. Under Your businesses, open Add a business profile. Enter the business name and the activities the policy should cover, plus any locations, owner or reviewer roles you want to reuse.

Use a separate business profile when you prepare work for a different business. This helps you select the right name and logo rather than overwrite one company’s branding for another.

2. Upload your logo

Choose the optional logo when adding a profile, or use Upload business logo on an existing business. PNG, JPG and WebP files are supported, up to 2 MB. A clear image with space around the mark usually works better than a screenshot of a letterhead.

The image is resized for document use. Transparent PNG or WebP files are useful for logos with an irregular outline; JPG files have a solid background. Preview the result before sharing your policy.

3. Apply the profile in the builder

Open the policy builder. In the account panel, select the business profile and choose Use these business details. This fills the business name, activities, scope, policy owner and reviewer, and applies the logo to the draft.

Check the business details before continuing. Applying a profile replaces those shared fields in the current tab after confirmation. It does not replace the policy-specific arrangements you have already entered.

4. Build and review the draft

Choose the policy type, answer the business and arrangement questions and generate the draft. Your business logo appears above the editable text. Missing answers remain marked for review: a branded document is still a draft until your organisation has checked and approved it.

You can edit the draft wording. If you change questionnaire answers afterwards, review the stale-draft warning and rebuild when appropriate; rebuilding replaces edits in the draft editor.

5. Print or save a PDF

Choose Print / save as PDF. In your browser’s print dialog, select a printer or the available PDF destination. Check the preview, page size and margins before saving. Your business logo appears at the start of the document and a small Policy Logic credit appears after the draft text.

The plain-text download contains text only. Use the print/PDF option when you want the logo included.

Keep a copy you can edit later

A cloud workspace stores all four policy questionnaires and any edited drafts currently in the tab, including the applied branding. Choose Save new cloud copy, or update the cloud copy you opened. Signing in does not automatically upload the answers you are working on.

Browser saves and downloaded JSON backups also retain the draft’s logo. A backup is a portable editable copy; a PDF is the presentation copy. Keep a backup if you expect to revisit the questions or draft text.

Changing or removing a logo

Replace or remove the logo on the business profile in My account. Existing saved drafts keep their own copy, so a profile change does not silently rebrand older documents. Open the workspace, apply the updated business details and save it again when you want to use the new logo.

Before issuing a new version, check the review checklist and follow your version-control process.
